Title: Friend and co worker Post by: RemnantchildMary on February 06, 2021, 06:17:11 AM I know that it seems odd that I’m joining a discussion at this time. I have had a friends for years which I have recently discovered has BPD. I am her boss and her friend. I have been through hell particularly over the past eight months when she put me through a formal investigation for bullying her. I am at the point where I have worked through a lot of issues because I was able to have access to a psychologist/psychiatrist who understands BPD and is helping me. I’m also reading “stop walking on Eggshells”. I need help with a few particular pointy situations and I saw good advice on “Apologizing”. I want a supportive community around me so I can be a steady boss for this lady.
Title: Re: Friend and co worker Post by: Cat Familiar on February 06, 2021, 03:17:31 PM BPD is a disorder of intimacy. Crossing the boundary from boss to friend increased the intimate connection between you two. Boss-worker friendships can be a fraught place, even with emotionally healthy people, due to the power discrepancy.
