Title: Worried about the terrible hospital my GF just admitted in
Post by: OneMoreClick on April 13, 2021, 07:11:34 PM
Hello, sorry for this bit of a urgent question, but there is no way to help someone out of a PLEASE READ (https://bpdfamily.com/safe-site.htm)ty hospital is there?

Literally as I'm making this post, I tried to advise my girlfriend of almost a year to seek some professional help for her BPD because it was getting to the point where it was getting difficult for her with suicidal thoughts (along with other issues that people BPD tend to struggle wih). I thought we found a good place for her to go for a couple of days but now thats shes there, Im hearing terrible things about the hospital. Its called Mount Carmel in Ohio.

Im so worried that I made the wrong choice and this place is going to damage her health more than help it and I guess Is there a way for me to get her out or am I just screwed? sorry if this post isn't in the right area.

It sounds as if you’re very anxious about your girlfriend. Do you feel it’s your responsibility about her treatment outcome?

I looked up that hospital system and they offer DBT, which is the preferred form of therapy for BPD. It’s often difficult to find providers that utilize this, so on that aspect, it sounds like this hospital is a good fit.

That said, it all depends upon the doctors, nurses, administration, and staff there. What are you concerned about?
