Title: Daughter has depression and personality disorder Post by: zena on May 04, 2021, 10:14:06 AM :help: i don't know how to get close to my daughter! She blames me for her unhappy childhood and thinks I'm selfish and only think of myself. I am there for her when she needs me but she doesn't ever open up to me anymore.

My BPD daughter blames me for everything, says I’m selfish and and that I don’t care about her. When probably like you I’d do anything for her. I try to remind myself that dealing with someone with BPD is so different to normal relationships. I guess all we can do is keep trying. Please be reassured a little that it’s not just you. My life has totally revolved around my daughter for years. Everything I read says to try and look after yourself as much as you can. I hope you try to, you matter. Rebbeca |
