Title: 19 year old daughter BPD Post by: Willing76 on May 16, 2021, 08:22:07 PM Hello! I’m new. Very frustrated and confused how to help my 19 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with BPD. What can I expect here?

1. We provide emotional support to you , the parent as each of us navigates this hellish landscape of BPD adult children. 2. We share experience and strength. It is important to know you are not alone 3. There are no quick answers , as this illness is a marathon, not a sprint. I am sure others will chime in with their thoughts. We are still fairly new to the group but really appreciate knowing we are not alone in this situation! We mostly read and have not posted frequently but it helps to see how other people have handled situations. It also has helped us create clearer boundaries with our daughter as she has become an adult since we can see from others' experiences what situations might arise in the future. It is nice to not be caught by surprise by some of the behaviors like we were during her teenage years as well as know they are "normal" behaviors for this not so normal situation.
