Title: Help
Post by: Krisz on July 14, 2021, 07:04:35 PM
My 20 year old daughter is constantly in crisis. She was supposed to start therapy today but canceled and re scheduled tomorrow. I hope she goes. How do you handle a crisis like rage and suicide threats. She has cut herself many times and I’m always in fear of her dying. It’s so hard to live like this.

Hello Krisz,
I am glad you have found us. I feel for the immense pain and dread you describe. Being in the throes of caring for our BPD child, during raging episodes, feels like unending torture of our very souls.
When our son said he wanted to die, in middle school, my heart broke in pieces.
I am looking forward to your updates, about her keeping the appointment.
Do you think counseling for yourself would provide you support for self care and navigation of this road?
