Please help. I feel completely broken and alone.

My ...i guess ex now? Fiancee of 8yrs(we wore weddings bands and called each other husband and wife. Due to her immense medical needs, and the fact that she was/is not able to be gainfully employed due to her mental health/BPD, we couldn't legally marry, as she wouldnt qualify for medicare.

I woke up this past Sunday to an empty house, zero warning etc.

I find a note at top of stairs saying basically/im summary for sake of being concise, that she was not moving, only visiting sick family etc. That she loved me more than anything on this planet and would never abandon me OR our "girls" (cats that are literally like children to us)

I freaked out. I was/am genuinely scared, which is an emotion im not used to.

Waking up to an empty home, with ZERO advanced planning or notice to ME. Now, it appears that she had been planning this for atleast a week, due to other clues i found.

I called the cops who located her father (said sick family member) on the other side of the country and they said "she wants nothing to do with u its over"

I asked the cop if that was direct from HER mouth and he wouldnt answer. Just kept saying "shes safe and sound"

Did her parents 51/50 or "section" her in a hospital against her will?

Per her, they have done so in the past more than once. How long can they legally hold her if so?

She has a cat here that is like a child to her...literally.

Her note says " i am not moving" underlined several times...

Could/ would she flip so fast like that? Just literally 24hrs prior she reached for my hand, holding it while watching netflix laughing, cuddling etc...talking about what color we were gonna paint the back door etc etc.

The cops said she is not coming back for the cat? WTF?

We flew this cat from california 8 yrs ago and she cried because of flying the cat/putting under stress?

She once said "coco couldn't be anymore my child if i birthed her from my own bowels"

Now she doesnt seem to care about her and is just leaving her here across country?

In my heart of hearts i want to believe her notenwas truthful and she would NOT abandon us...

My suspicion is, she was guilt tripped/bated across the country by her "father" who is also mentally ill and is now being held there against her wishes?
 
IF she is there will she come back?

Im nothing without her. Despite her illness and multiple challenges...she is my very soul. I mean that. I just want her back home.
Please help!

   This has to be so painfully upsetting for you. The note in which she assured you that she’s returning, vs. the words from the cop, is confusing - for sure.
   I am glad you’ve found us.
