Title: My partner has BPD and I'm struggling
Post by: Stormy21 on July 16, 2021, 05:38:03 AM
Hi, I'm not sure where to start as this is all very new to me, so please forgive me if I go off track. My partner and I have been together just over a year and I found out she had BPD after discoving she had been chatting to other girls behind my back for about 4 months. She has had a hard time over the years and lives in a area where most people have issues. It's an area where no one can be trusted! So when she told me about her BPD I found that putting what she had done to our relationship done to her BDP.
Our relationship is so perfect when her mood is good but when she is feeling down its the worst relationship ever in her eyes. She would easily let me walk out the door , rather than tell me the truth when caught out lying. When we are good we speak about marriage etc so I have no intentions of ever leaving her over her disorder but I just need advice on how to stop myself feeling so sad when we are going through one of her bad times?

Hi Stormy,

Welcome to BPD Family. We’re glad you’ve found us. There are many resources here, which lighten the heavy load for us.
Here’s the link to the forum, here, for romantic relationships (this one is for those with BPD children or daughter-in-laws...).
