Title: struggling
Post by: hurtmom on July 20, 2021, 11:51:16 AM
I am so desperate and sick with heartache. My young adult daughter 22 years old, hates me, has hated me for years. I feel like I have dedicated my life to taking care of my children ( so much I am sure I have over helped or over indulged her) - so it is painful that she has so much animosity towards me.
It effects the entire family. I am constantly walking on eggshells afraid to say anything to her as everything I say is twisted and construed as negative or bad... an example if I prepare a plate of dinner for her, she takes that as I am saying she is not capable of making her own plate ( it is heart wrenching)
To the best of my knowledge she has not been actually diagnosed, we have sent her to therapists, some seemed to have helped, although they did tell her that smoking pot could help her ( or at least that is what she told us)
we are hesitant to be too firm, for fear she will hurt herself.
thanks for listening
