Title: Coming to terms with relationship failure with potential BPD person Post by: Sponger on August 11, 2021, 11:54:03 AM Hello people:)
I am a thoughtful, quiet, athletic and sensitive person. I am in the early days of giving space/ being asked to leave from my girlfriend of a year and a half. We have lived together for 6months and before that were inseparable and supported each other through lockdown. I am here because I believe my parter might have BPD traits and hope to get some support for me and understand what we have both been through. I’m pretty fresh to the personality disorder and just working through my break up trauma and understanding how BPD might have impacted my life with her. Reading the diagnosis for BPD and some first hand accounts of how it is like to suffer from it and be a loved one there does seem to be many striking similarities to my experience. I hope I can share some of these in time and help to heal what is a very emotional time for me. Please let me know if there are protocol or things I should or not say or do on the forum. I’m not used to being online. Sincerely, Mark Title: Re: Coming to terms with relationship failure with potential BPD person Post by: pursuingJoy on August 12, 2021, 03:27:43 PM Welcome Sponger! glad you found us.
I am in the early days of giving space/ being asked to leave from my girlfriend of a year and a half. Was this a mutual decision? I’m pretty fresh to the personality disorder and just working through my break up trauma and understanding how BPD might have impacted my life with her. Whenever you're ready to share more, let us know how you learned about BPD and what behaviors made you believe your girlfriend has it. We'd love to get to know you. I was new to online forums when I came across this one, too. We're a pretty easy going bunch and we'll help all we can. |
