Title: Mark that down in the win column Post by: marv1995 on August 20, 2021, 01:31:42 PM I was talking to my therapist on Wednesday about my ex and I noticed something I said was different than how I've said it before. Usually I would say "I had to let him go because I was enabling him and he won't change if I stay." Wednesday I said the exact same thing except at the end I added "...and he may never change, but that's out of my control." Y'all...that is HUGE for me. Wow. I've been working so hard on setting boundaries and overcoming my codependency and this is proof that my thought processes are changing. I tend to beat myself up when I backslide, or check his social media, or want to reach out to him, but I never think about all the small wins.
