Title: Deja Vu
Post by: Nathelle on August 29, 2021, 04:32:05 PM
Looking back my BPD has been sick along time,.I just tinted it out
He goes from decent to accusatory in seconds, I try to stay away. Everytime he can't find something, which is most  of the time someone took it!
He started drinking, which makes his paranoia so much worse. I feel like my husband died last May. I don't know who this person is. My 77 yr old sister lives with us, without her I would not survive. My husband was hooked on drugs for many yrs, he went off them in March after 15yrs heavy morphine use. Looking back, I think the dope was masking his mental illness.
I need to find a way to broker peace, because his rages our just too much.
This morning I tried to be positive and go with him to church. It seems like after he goes he worse! Last Sunday night, we had to call the police. He was screaming that "they" were holding him down.We went in his room to assure him no one was there, he started yelling it was my demonic sister, we had to call the police. There has to be a way to survive this, does anyone have a similar person at home? Can you share coping stills

Nathelle, you are in a tough situation! I am not a psychiatrist, but it sounds as if your H has more serious problems than BPD. You are describing paranoid delusions, and this can lead to behavior that could be dangerous for him or others in the house. You yourself seem to know it's more than you can handle, as you've had to call the police. His behavior could even be drug-related. If you have a decent mental health facility near where you live, and he has more of these episodes, he might need to get help there. Good luck!
