Title: Recently broke up with BPD girlfriend and I'm devastated Post by: Ouchthishurts on December 08, 2021, 08:10:56 PM My BPD gf recently broke up with me. We were in a relationship for over 5 years. She has moved on and is already in a relationship, like the past 5 years meant nothing and it is killing me. This is also the worst time to be experiencing a breakup. I have a ton of stress weighing on me. I am alone and I can't really talk to anyone about it. I cannot focus on anything. I shift between sadness and angry. I know I will never get any closure and that hurts. This whole situation hurts. No amount of logic, reason, or good advice makes me feel better. :help:

the good news is that it gets better. the good news is that you are among people who get it and can tell you, matter of fact, that it does get better. i was in a 3 year relationship myself. my first adult relationship. we were close friends for three years before that. she jumped straight into a new relationship before i even was certain we were officially broken up. tell us more about what happened and what youre going through. were listening. If it is of any comfort, all of us ( bpd or not) go through this pain at some point in life. Heartbreak to me is one of the worst ones ( going through it myself too atm) so consider yourself a hero just getting through the day. Don't expect too much of yourself apart from just making it through the day, getting comfortable clothes on. Healthy food in. Allow every feeling you have, love, hate, yearning, devastation, obsession.. there are no wrong feelings. Although it seems impossible to get through this right now, fact of nature is you will... take your pain and carry it with pride because it is proof of how much you are a human being that is capable of caring. |
