Hello Oregonmom :hi: and welcome

You'll find many parents of children and teens here seeking support and learning. How old is your child? My DD was diagnosed at 26yrs in 2015 and through my research I found BPDFamily.

Support is critical; family here helped me navigate out of crisis to a better place for me and understanding my DD's challenges as I walk with her.

Feel free to share what's happening, this is a safe place.

Oregonmom, I'll join wendydarling in welcoming you here. Really not much to add to her good post, except that I'm also curious about how old your child is, given your user name...

From what I've read, Oregon has some unique mental health laws -- minors at 14 & over can consent to a LOT of treatments and, I'm assuming, can decline a lot of treatments, including initial assessments.

Has that been an issue for you as you try to help her?

I'll pause there for now, but again, welcome,
