Title: Raging spouse
Post by: Acee on February 19, 2022, 08:46:01 PM
My husband is in the midst of a 4 day rage. It resulted from my taking a phone call while we were playing a game...that's all it took. He is mostly staying in a closed room but has also screamed at me about what an awful wife and mother I am. He says he will be leaving me as soon as he wraps some things up. Honestly, if I weren't afraid of his killing himself and the effect that would have on my kids, I might just kick him out. Typically, when not in a rage, he's lovely. Confused and abused.

Welcome to the forum

Most of us can relate so please know you are not alone.

When they rage and we don’t understand why or it seems like a complete over reaction to us it’s so confusing.

Do you think he is serious about leaving you? Is he aware of his BPD or in denial/not diagnosed? Unfortunately there is always a trigger and it’s not always relatable to us. So it leaves us with feelings of confusion.  I’ve had this so many times when he would explode and I was left so confused not understanding what I did wrong.
