Title: Zoloft- any experiences? Post by: bookmark123 on March 03, 2022, 08:50:11 PM Hello all,
Does anyone have any experiences with their partner taking Zoloft? My uBPD husband has been prescribed this after a really rough few weeks. He has been using weed for many years. I appreciate any info. Thanks! Title: Re: Zoloft- any experiences? Post by: NonnyMouse on March 05, 2022, 03:21:19 PM Yes. My uBPDw was on it for three years after our second child was born. She went through a lot of mental stuff during the pregnancy, so the minute she gave birth she was on it. She felt it made her feel dopey. Our relationship didn't change much. Then she came off it. Initially I thought she was better off it, but only a few months after she got serious about a divorce. I don't know if there was any connection. But now when she gets very upset (with the world, not just me) she says she wants to go back on it.
Not very helpful, I know! Title: Re: Zoloft- any experiences? Post by: healthfreedom4s on March 05, 2022, 11:25:25 PM It may take like 4 weeks for the initial side effects to go away. The initial side effects may be like sleepiness, dizziness etc (you can look up online). These initial side effects WILL GO AWAY. It is important to understand this and tough out this period. After the initial 4 weeks, it will be very stable. There could be some emotional numbness but it is trade-off that comes with it. There will be sexual side effects. Please read them up. They go away when medication is stopped, they are not permanent in anyway. Understanding the side effects make it easier to work around them and you can still have good intimacy. And you can play a very supportive role for him.
