Title: Re: Menopause and dealing with relationship Post by: Dancingbear on April 13, 2022, 02:51:49 PM Really shows how well I'm functioning when I can't even manage to post my thing properly!
Let's try again ... After months of a bunch of difficult symptoms which I just figured were stress (relationship been veeeerrry up and down for the last year) or maybe post covid shizzle... the penny has finally dropped and I'm pretty sure it's the peri menopause Gonna go see a gp asap and read, research and figure out what up do. But quite honestly I'm already dreading how this is gonna combine with my pwubpd's behaviour and issues. I really need him to be patient and supportive and understanding rn! I'm also feeling angry that here I am about to go figure out a ton of ways to support and improve my well-being but he still hasn't bothered to see a doctor about his lifetime of chronic sleep issues or see a counsellor for his "emotional struggles". My therapist reckons one of the reasons that I've stayed so long in this relationship is because I'm generally an agreeable and forgiving person and I have some super reserve of energy that somehow keeps me going even when things are really freaking hard. But Without those? Just venting I guess but wondering if any other women have got this stage and experienced similar feelings x |
