Title: 15yo DD with BPD Post by: live again on April 25, 2022, 08:19:38 PM As recently as a couple years ago, if I saw on TV a young person saying they're homeless because their parents kicked them out of the house I'd think "how can those parents do that to their child?" Now when I see the same thing I think "how long have those parents have had to put up with that kid's bullPLEASE READ (https://bpdfamily.com/safe-site.htm) before they decided they need to live too." It's tough seeing my beautiful, youthful wife's hair turn noticeably grey. It's heartbreaking for our youngest to go into that tunnel vision stare/space when DD goes through one of her episodes of distress.
I'm trying to recondition 15 years of thinking/perspective in relation to DD. Her teachers pointed out impulsivity and Attention seeking disorder/behavior from a young age and I always thought that was just her compensating or something, but that she was in control and was just manipulative. Wow, do I understand now how that happens; It becomes a matter of life or death .
