Title: The need for outside affirmation
Post by: PowerChild on October 25, 2022, 08:56:52 AM
Out of curiosity, how does your pwBPD tend to show their need for affirmation from others?

Mine is into Warhammer 40k and DnD, and he is constantly posting pictures and talking about the minis he's painted/painting, or his plans for his DnD campaign (he DMs). At least 3-4 times per day, he also sends me a picture of whatever he's working on, which I used to think showed he was thinking of me and wanted to share his life with me, but I have since learned that he sends that stuff to everyone he knows and posts it on social media. He also whines often about how no one appreciates "all the work" (hobbies) he does and he doesn't like how he gets "only a few likes" on social media. He says that excellence is a virtue. *insert eye roll*

So again, in what unique ways does your own BPD partner present their desperate need for attention and affirmation?

P.S.
I am aware that I probably came off as flippant here, but I'm in that mood where I'm annoyed and exhausted with his antics. I mean no offense.
