Title: So Very Tired
Post by: Jim...0_0 on November 19, 2022, 08:13:46 AM
I'm not sure how to even begin here... My wife has BPD. And I am so (insert expletive) tired. She stays home with our 7-month old. I work as a high school teacher, so I don't make much money. We also have a 3-year old, that she "just can't deal with" that I take to daycare everyday. There is virtually no family support, and there has not been any spare time for cultivating freindships. I guess I just need some people to talk to who "get it."

Hi Jim.  Thanks for sharing your experience.  "I am so xyz tired" rings a big bell over here, both figuratively and literally.  I've found reading these forums helpful, but also over the past year I've been trying to rebuild friendships that have fallen by the wayside and found great value in that.  Even if it's just a 30 minute Zoom call with an old chum every week or two, it can help you reconnect with yourself which seems to be an important element for partners of pwBPD.

Don't underestimate how much isolation from normal social interactions can drain you mentally as your life gets taken up by someone else's trivial dramas
