Title: Venting - PwBPD called the police on me this morning, again
Post by: BigOof on December 10, 2022, 01:19:45 PM
PwBPD left her keys in the child's bag and that was enough for a call to the police on me this morning. Apparently, I took them and was going to copy them. This is the third time she's called the police on me.

Big oof!

Did she follow the police or did the police take them?  I suspect the first since she would want to see the encounter.  And this will not be the last call to the police.  Inform your lawyer and ask how to address this.  You know her private life, how bad it is.  She will continue trying to make you look worse than her.  This is no longer her creating a skirmish, it is a battle leading toward a war.  Soon she will expand beyond DV aspects and will start claiming child abuse "suspicions".

So even living apart (distance) isn't safe enough.  Hard to imagine ex's keys were in the child's bag.  Could she have put them there to "frame mischief", an excuse to call the police and build a history of allegations against you?  How else did the keys get there?

One thing to remember, ex has come to view her residence as hers and not ours.  Beware of ever entering there again without being accompanied.  Sorry, the kid doesn't count was a witness.

Likewise, ex should not enter your residence.  Stay safe, or as "less unsafe" as possible.

In my case, once we separated we exchanged for several years at neutral public locations, usually the local sheriff's office, sometimes at gas stations, restaurant or supermarket parking lots.

best to record every time you are with her.
Get a Voice Activated recorder.
It may keep you out of jail.

Great advice as always, FD. I de-escalated the situation by returning the keys thankfully before the police arrived. But it is nuts - playing Russian roulette with the police while your child watching. Who knows what she said or is going to say to the police?

I've already been through three CPS investigations for child abuse.

Go3737, I wear a body camera. It has gotten me out of multiple state-sponsored investigations, charges, and hearings.

My luck is not going to last.

BigOof,

Which camera do you use?  How long to the batteries last?  What is the maximum time it can record?  Have you had any issues with it not recording?
