Title: Feeling lost and confused
Post by: SweetieChimp on January 13, 2023, 04:09:02 PM
This is my first time here, so hope I am doing this right.  My boyfriend recently ended the relationship but wants to mend it after causing a lot of pain and heartbreak in the way he ended it.  I'm confused and feeling hopeless that we will ever have a healthy relationship.  He has always told me about his anxiety, depression, black & white thinking, but only now finally admitted he has been diagnosed with BPD in the past.  I am now in search of trying to understand this better and how a relationship can be healthy with a partner with BPD.  Any advice is really appreciated  :heart:

Hi SweetieChimp, you're in the right place to find people who understand, and to learn more about BPD and how it impacts relationships.

One place to start is by checking out this article, on What Does it Take to Be in a Relationship (https://bpdfamily.com/content/what-does-it-take-be-relationship) with a person with BPD?

I see that your BF wants to reconnect; what about you? What do you think you want at this point?

Feel free to settle in, read some posts and articles, and let us know your thoughts, whenever works for you;
