Title: Therapist Post by: Love her on February 03, 2023, 09:53:40 AM My daughter has been battling BPD for years. Has been admitted twice, when she gets out, she is not able to find a therapist that specializes in BPD. Is there any way to locate more who are taking new patients? She fights SI on a daily bases.

Have you tried using the "Find A Therapist" feature on the Psychology Today website (https://www.psychologytoday.com/)? At the top, they have a menu called "Find A Therapist". Enter your location, and then under the "Issues" menu that appears, you can select "BPD". And/or, under "Types of Therapy", choosing "DBT" will likely narrow the list down to those with experience working with pwBPD. Let us know if you need some more suggestions, and again, welcome; kells76 Title: Re: Therapist Post by: SaltyDawg on February 03, 2023, 03:47:47 PM If you you cannot find any that Kells suggested, you can ask for ones that deal with 'high conflict'. There is an online option too for DBT. A 12-step program, or CODA.org might be helpful too.
