I don't recognize the person who wrote all those old entries. What a different world. I think the title of this category, for me, is a bit of misnomer. "Failed Relationship" implies there was a chance it wouldn't. The relationship I was in had zero chance and never really worked. It just looked like it. At any rate, I can't thank those of you I interacted with a few years ago enough. Your insight and encourage served as a turning point. Even though I don't think I was dealing with someone who had BPD in the end, I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for this support forum. I averted a disaster and saved three lives, myself included, and that was worth whatever else it cost. There's a book out there that's remarkably familiar. It was just released into the wild today. It's free on Kindle Unlimited. I get what you're saying about "you then" and "you now" and essentially not recognizing "you then" any more. Definitely trial by fire, and so different at the end than the beginning. How've you been holding up? How are the kids doing? Fill us in if you're up for it -- kells76 |
