hello. I am so grateful to have found this site. our daughter is 19 and, looking back, has been dealing with BPD traits since late elementary school. she is a type 1 diabetic with a unique immune deficiency condition. she is also beautiful, smart, and capable. I am trying to learn all I can to support her on her journey, and to heal our family.

 :hi:

Welcome to the website, glad you found us (stick around, answers trickle in slowly - maybe just 1-2/day sometimes). You mention coming to the realisation your daughter's likely got BPD, has she been seeing anyone for mental health, or diagnosed or anything - or just that it's pretty obvious on the face of it?

I'm sorry to hear about her comorbidities - personally I'm used to seeing simultaneous mental health issues, but having diabetes and an auto-immune disorder must make things so much more difficult on everyone. Have you read any of the books on BPD, by chance? Most people will suggest "Walking on Eggshells" or "The ABCs of BPD" or similar as a starting guide - though better books exist once you're comfortable with the terminology and such.
