Yes I have completed the family connections course and I would recommend it.

There are lots of pluses to learning with a group of people in similar situations.

The facilitator in my group was excellent: very compassionate and well read in the area, in my case my husband doesn’t fit the typical BPD picture as there is also CPTSD and possibly NPD features. She noticed this from some of my contributions and signposted me to other resources that would help me.

Lots of the content is similar to that in the tools section of this forum, so if you can’t access family connections that would be an alternative resource.

I would say go for it if you can access it. There’s so much to gain and little to lose.

I have taken the family connections course and it is wonderful. The skills can be implemented in all relationship and it certainly does wonders for the interaction with our loved ones. I will say that it is very challenging for me to implement the skills during a rage or a crisis. I review my binder sometimes as a refresher and I have found that helpful and it all makes perfect sense when I am in  my logical mind and not my emotional mind. There is a long waiting list for the course. Maybe enroll and then decline if you change your mind.
