Title: Husband with BPD
Post by: Daynow on November 24, 2023, 09:21:24 PM
Hey
It's my hubby. I loved and love him. We have a toddler, married live in house.
Cycles every couple weeks more when stressed.

I'm isolated. Supports burned out.
Last week I tripped and broke a bone. So I've a cast and off work.  I'm not sure how long I will be off work we are entering emergency funds area. Depending on him makes it worse or maybe it's me

I've so much to be grateful for but this cycle hurts and makes me doubt myself.  Goal is to mitigate damage and raise our child in stable home. Hubby agrees.

Thank you for being here. I look forward to supports and new skills.

Hello Daynow,

I hope you're getting good care with your broken bone. Do you have space and time to heal, despite being off work?

Is your husband the one who has BPD?

Yes thank you.
Yes, my husband. I worry for our son but so far he is great with our son. Just hates on me when he is in a mood.

It's good that your hubby is self aware enough to agree. Is he in counseling or treatment? Can you describe the cycles?

The top level communication tools may help you, like SET.

What else is going on? Do you feel safe?

I'm about to log off for the night, I hope others can support you, but I'll be back tomorrow. I'm glad that you reached out to us for support
