Title: HELP
Post by: NIGHTMERE on December 13, 2023, 11:06:12 AM
My son married a woman with BPD and now has a 12 week old baby. He himself has some anxiety/anger issues but usually holds  himself together. She comes from a broken family, lots of mental issues, and has turned his perception from one of a stable loving family to one in which we are to blame for all his suffering and he now has clinical postpartum male depression and had a near psychotic breakdown in front of us where he used words that I will not repeat here.  It was a cry for help but he refused to go to counseling with us and now she won't let us talk to him stating they need "space".  We are worried for his wellbeing; he needs medication. She dismisses that and says he is fine. What can I do??

Sorry to hear that and welcome to the forum. Is your son open to counselling or therapy on his own ?
