Title: New to the site

 :hi:
I’m in the middle of reading “Stop walking on Eggshells” and it lead me to this site. I find myself shaking my head yes so many times while I’m reading. I can’t wait to get to the part that hopefully helps me react better to my daughter’s angry outbursts. I’m looking forward to exploring  the site and check out the resources.

Mule,

*welcome*

We are here to listen to you and support you emotionally.

SWOE is an excellent book to understand if your pwBPD is a borderline, narcissist or both as it has an excellent assessment tool in the third edition.

I personally feel that the tools in the book have less teeth than another book you may want to look at "Stop Caretaking the Borderline Or Narcissist: How to End the Drama and Get on with Life" by Margalis Fjelstad.

There are also resources on this site to look at as well at:  https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=329744.0

You can vent here, ask questions, as there are many people here who have the same or very similar story to yours.

Be sure to take self-care as this can be exhausting, whatever that may look like for you.

Take care.

SD

How are things working so far? My relationship with my stepdaughter was a roller coaster until I started to make a few changes. I imagine it's a bit tougher when there's a long history and you're the person she reacts most strongly to.

Does she live with you or nearby?
