I have a 21 year old daughter with BPD.  We adopted her when she was 13.  Life has been a roller coaster and walking on egg shells.

I just started listening to an audio book that has been really helpful.
The book is "The essential family guide to Borderline Personality Disorder".  Still listening and it is an amazing book!

Hello Owlspirit and *welcome*

So glad to hear you've found helpful resources. It's a lightbulb moment when we find books on BPD and we can say "that's my life -- how did they know?"

Does your D21 have an official BPD diagnosis? If so, is she accepting of it, or in denial? Any treatment going on?

And does she live with you right now?

Make yourself at home here -- settle in, check out our section of articles on When a teen or adult child has Borderline Personality Disorder (https://bpdfamily.com/portfolio-child), and feel free to share more of your story, whenever you're ready.
