Title: UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PROJECT: Research Participants Needed Post by: Alana Tappin PhysD on December 05, 2011, 05:13:12 PM My name is Alana Tappin and I'm a doctoral candidate currently recruiting participants for my dissertation research titled "The Experience of Growing Up with a Borderline Parent: A Qualitative Study." This study will investigate the experience of growing up with a parent/caregiver with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Using focus groups consisting of adult children of BPD parents/caregivers, I will attempt to develop themes and patterns from interviews with the participants. The aim of this study is to begin to understand the experience of these persons and gain information for further research and treatment intervention for children at risk for developing psychological difficulties as well as parents diagnosed with this disorder.
