Title: would you get involved knowing it may be a rebound?
Post by: Pinoypride18 on January 27, 2014, 03:23:42 PM
Hypothetically speaking, say a female BPD who she was sexually active with dumps her boyfriend after 3 years . She is wanting an exclusive no strings attached relationship with you, the rebound. In which she has already given you an exspiration date of 4 months during graduation. Now knowing the cycles of a BPD but her giving you free sex, would you consider being friends with benefits with her or is any relationship with a BPD, or rebound not worth it?

Pros:

Free sex

No strings attached

Exspiration date

Cons:

BPD

Rebound

Exspiration date

There is no such thing as "free" sex. There will be strings, I assure you.

Seriously?

Knowing what I know? this is an outrageous question.

Free sex? Is sex not free, free from what? Pregnancy, disease, crazy making etc

No strings attached? Their pathology is not ' no strings attached'. BPD is demanding by it's very nature. The idealisation stage for 4 months I guess you mean!

Expiration date? Recycle is recycle, involving yourself in their crazy no!

I can see the thought. No I would not in anyway get involved with this disorder again ever. Please God.

4 months they could do a lot of harm.

Hey let's do heroin for 4 months

Free drugs

No strings attached

Expiration date

Pros:

Free BPD emotional rollercoaster sex

10,000 BPD strings attached

Expiration Date is imaginary, really part of an endless cycle and recycle.

Cons:

See "Pros"

Fixed that for ya.

I would wish you good luck but it would do no good.

Don't think with your dink.

Free sex... .

We as males my fantasize of such a thing but if it does exist, it would be with a healthy mentally stable person. BPDs and PDs are at the opposite end of the spectrum of mentally and emotionally healthy so, No.

Its kind of like those e-mails you get that you have 'won' a large sum of money now in order for you to receive it, just sent them your financial account numbers along with a small sum of money to verify the account and then I will give you the 'jackpot'.

Sex, all too often, is the PDs ultimate hustle. Its not about sex for them, its about a million other things and ALL of which are designed to make YOU pay in some form.

Save yourself and dont do it. If you DO, its your emotions swimming with the sharks so to speak

Well Said! Getting off the BPD Roller Coaster is like withdrawal from a drug addiction. Detox is Required!

PP18 she's playing with you. And also the new guy that she's with. And also probably with several other guys she's with that neither you nor he know about, and it's just wrong. I'm not saying she's conscious of it--but basically "free sex" means that she's free to continue to abuse you in any way that she wants, however and whenever she wants, and also abuse the other guys, since there's no "attachments".

i had a friend who tried something similar with his ex--he's the only other person i know that had a r/s with a pwBPD (and she was diagnosed, high functioning). they 'broke up' maybe for a week or so, then she came back and they had sex. he turned on the lights and saw some bruises on her legs and her butt << rough sex she had just had like a day before with some other guy during their week-long break. no apologies or empathy or understanding. it was totally devaluing for him especially since they'd been together for years. you don't want this -- she's controlling you with the only asset she has. don't let her spit in your face like she has and then run back into your arms at her whim. and the abuse doesn't stop with you--don't play into her Triangulation (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=121673.0) games as she takes on more and more men to use and abuse to self soothe.

oh yeah, STDs

What makes you think there will be an expiration date? She may well want no strings sex, or she might be feeling extremely lonely and think you're her best bet at not being alone any more. If you sleep with her when she is possibly at her most vulnerable, what sort of person does that make you?

Some people talk about people with BPD as inhuman, when it's not that they are always horrible- they just do horrible things. Some people are horrible, and that isn't just limited to one personality disorder. BPD comes about from a generally awful upbringing, and people with it aren't generally happy to be ruining everything around them.

If you're going to use someone for your own selfish sexual pleasure, and you KNOW they have a personality disorder, you are inviting trouble.
