Title: HAPPY FATHERS DAY
Post by: CastleofGlass on June 19, 2015, 01:39:52 PM
I am getting ready to leave work and I rarely have time at home to venture on to bpdfamily but I wanted to wish a Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there as well as the mothers that have to fill in that role at times as well. May you all have a blessed weekend and even if things go sour on Sunday, concentrate on the reason you are a father (your kids) for solace and peace.

Thanks, I was just thinking about how to handle it if my wife decides to skip this day as anything special.

Focusing on the fact that it's not about me it's about the kids.

Dude... .Are you serious?

It is about you.  It is FATHER'S DAY.  Everyday is kid's day.  It's your day.

I've been reading a lot of your posts lately, and you sacrifice a lot for your marriage.  Do NOT give up a day to be recognized for the awesome efforts you put forth for your kids.  And if she is not interested in giving you recognition, then you are the only one man enough to do it.

Be a man.  Stand proud for your kids, and because of your kids.  You are their father. There is not a single man on this huge Earth who can be as great as YOU in their lives.

Love,

Surg_Bear

My kids are the reason for the sacrifice. I don't think I do as much for my marriage anymore other than try to keep it on life support for them.

Not real big on Father's Day at the moment either because I just lost my dad in March. Guess I'm looking for away to avoid it.

I'm loading up with the oldest son and leaving Sunday morning at 7:30am to go to Boy Scout camp. I will be there for 6 days. So away from her yes, unfortunately I will not get to spend time with s8 but I can do that when I get back.

Thanks for the kind words Surg.
