Title: Any MC's on these boards
Post by: IsItHerOrIsItMe on June 25, 2015, 09:05:59 AM
I was just wondering if any psychologists or marriage counselors consistently post here... .

I understand they may not want to identify themselves, but they must find this site like we all do, either researching their own lives or the lives of their patients.

It could be an interesting take on a lot of threads.

Yes, may be interesting. There have been some on these boards working on their own issues.

This is a peer support board and membership guidelines do not allow professionals to identify and/or act in such roles.

Bummer, I understand it would be a fine line between offering the opinion of a professional and acting the role of a professional... .

Just not long ago there was I think a man who was a MC, and he strongly felt his wife has BPD. It wasn't that long ago he posted a few times, maybe a month ago. Just goes to show that anyone can fail to recognize it. My BPDh didn't present red flags of this until after we were married. I guess if you were a MC, or in the mental health field, there would be good and bad to that. Once you realize what you could be dealing with, you might have knowledge of more coping skills, but I bet after working in the field all day, you'd also not want to come home and have to use those skills even more so at home... .
