Title: Fertility questions
Post by: ptilda on July 02, 2015, 03:17:50 AM
Undiagnosed BPD husband and I want a child. I'm turning 40 this year and have PCOS which makes it necessary for me to take medication to ovulate. I've been on the treatments starting in February, but soon after it all hit the fan. He hasn't touched me in almost 3 months and left the house about 3 weeks ago. He claims it's over. I believe it's not. I believe that God confirmed that to me.

My question now is whether it is better to stay on the fertility medication to keep ovulation regular, or to go off knowing we'll have to start over if/when we decide to move forward.

When I ovulate, do I send him an "FYI" and see what happens? I'm prepared for the option of being a single parent. The reality is if he doesn't mend this, he gets deported (he's here on a spouse visa). No leverage for him to fight for custody. If... .

Or should I use this as a boundary? My doctor gave me the option of another procedure to correct the medical issues but that would require about 2 years including prep and recovery before I should try to get pregnant. If I inform him that since he has decided not to be physical with me, I have taken my doctor's advice to go ahead with this other procedure and we won't be able to try for another 2 years. Is he more likely to see that as "control?"
