Welcome Miss-Understood!

You are not alone, a lot of us have been, and still are, misunderstood.  I think you can definitely get help here.  There are relevant stories, communication strategies, links to outside information, and maybe best of all, a lot of understanding people to be found here.

As a place to start, you might want to take a look at the information on the home page-tells you what BPD is, how to validate, what to expect, etc.  There are specific workshops for understanding co-dependency and other issues that often come up in these relationships.

As a second step, you can check out the different Boards:  Staying, Leaving, Undecided, Co-parenting, etc.  Even if you see yourself in a certain category (e.g., I am Leaving) there are useful things on other ones:  I got tons of useful info on Staying and Undecided also.

Finally, don't be afraid to post some info about your situation.  It can be a long intro or a short question, but either way you're likely to hear from people with similar experiences.

Good luck, and hope you stick around.
