Title: Can my spouse get better?
Post by: angelabraden48 on September 30, 2015, 02:47:02 PM
So I'd really love to hear from people who's significant other got better. I mean really changed their behavoir and patterns in a deep, permanent way. I'm feeling very discouraged and like, by staying, I'll have to live defensively and on guard for the rest of my life because he will sacrifice me if it serves his purposed. Mine is also NPD, which seems actually more influential in our problems. And if yours did truly change, how did that happen? To what do you credit?

Hello angela,

I'm glad that you found us and are reaching out for support

Dealing with a narcissistic personality is certainly tough. What kind of behaviors does he exhibit which lead you to believe NPD?

You asked if it can get better, and it can (see here (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=113820.0) for success stories), but it can be hard in the beginning. What specifically has been going on, and how can we help?
