Dropping him off at school today, S5 said that he was a kitty. Then he said a tiger. I asked what D3 was, and he said that she was a baby tiger. Then he said that I was a lion. He said that Mommy was a mommy tiger. Curious, I asked him what he thought [step-dad] was, and he paused, but said, "a daddy tiger." Then he added, "but you're a lion." Good for you, son. That's an accurate assessment from a 5 year old's point-of-view. Not that I'm worried about being replaced in the eyes of the children, but it made my morning.
