Is It Worth Giving Up Anger And Blame To Give Your Child A Better Chance For Happiness And Success In Life

"You have the power to influence your child's well-being either positively or negatively.  In fact, the only individuals who have this power are the same individuals that feel the anger and the blame.  Either singularly or together, you can make a commitment to alter the amount of conflict in your child's life.  No one can do it for you.  No one can make you.  You have to individually decide if you want to alter the pattern of tensions and hostility that surrounds your child and interferes with his of her happiness."

This article explores the effects conflict between parents has on a child in many areas including role identity, teaching of poor conflict resolution skills, threatened stability and increase of fears of abandonment, among other issues, and concludes with choosing to "make a commitment to caring" and choosing to do whatever it takes to improve the long-term well-being of your child.
