Title: Ex with BPD
Post by: sky367 on March 19, 2017, 06:30:55 PM
I was recently with a girl for 6 months with BPD. She fell really fast and seemed head over heels with me. Randomly one day out of the blue she broke up with me because she said she needed to work on her mental health and seems to not care about me or love me at all. She blocked me my number for about a month and then her friend died so i reached out to be there for her and give her my condolences. We unblocked eachother, but I very much still feel the same about her. I will tell her my feelings and how I want to keep her as a friend because shes important to me and it wasn't a bad break up. She keeps saying that I'm obsessed and that shes annoyed and thinks I'm "following her". I would love to remain friends with her but I don't know how to further a conversation or try to have a friendship with her.

Welcome sky367:
Sorry you dealing with a breakup.    They can be very painful and hard to deal with, especially when it wasn't your idea to breakup.

You probably want to be careful, as you wouldn't want to be labeled as a stalker or have her get a restraining order against you.  Give her some time and believe what she says.  If she indicated she wants time to work on her mental health issues, you have to respect that.  Let some time pass.  The more you try to force the issue, the more she won't want a friendship.
