Title: Introduction
Post by: tagworth on March 20, 2017, 01:15:11 PM
Hi,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My odlest dauther, is 20. She has BPD and is living with me. She has been in treatment and therapy in the past. I participated in half of the BPD Family Connections class last year. My youngest daugher is 14 and lives with her Father because she doesn't want to live with her sister and the emotional dysregulation.

In January my daughter was fired from her job for oversleeping and then her boyfriend brokeup with her.  She has been in bed watching TV, isolating for about a month. I am working with a therapist myself as I am just so sad and lonely as I try to support my daughter. And, on other days, I'm so mad I just want my daughter to move out!

I've been lurking on this board off and on for awhile now.  I know I need some support and that's why I 'm posting.

Thanks,
Tagworth

Hi Tagworth and welcome

Lurking is good, we all do as you have, check out what is right for us and take the good plunge and land safely.  :)  I think I may have read the boards and information for a good 5 months before taking up the courage to, good decision for me, I've gained so much from the support of great folk here and learning, still learning with everyone  |iiii You are not alone

How come your daughter's treatment stopped, was it DBT?

Small steps
