Looking for short, realistic portrayals of BPD in a youtube or other clips.

Tom Hank's 'big' used to resonate a lot - a child in an adult world. Speaks volumes

There are many of them out there:

Jennifer Lawrences character in "Silver Lining Playbook" comes to mind. She is a BPD, and Bradley Cooper plays a person with Bi Polar:

The follow scene is from a reality show I watch. I like to watch this show because I have a very mind-consuming job and I like to unwind with non-important stuff sometimes. Briana, one of the girls in the show is married to a classic BPD. I cringe when I watch scenes. He takes anything she says like a personal attack and threatens her. He has cheated on multiple times and claims to be a sex addict:

Not necessarily BPD but just an allegory for mental illness in general is the Babadook. A really well done movie that ties in the allegory without overdoing it. But if you have lived through the descent of a loved one into mental illness it very tough to watch.

Quote from: Psychology Today
Thirteen from 2003. It absolutely nailed the family dynamics of people with borderline BPD. It should have been subtitled, How to Turn Your Teenager into a Borderline without Even Being Abusive.

Many critics saw it as a movie about the dangers that young teens face from peer pressure, rather than as a portrait of family dysfunction. Part of the reason these critics missed the point of this movie is that, ever since certain therapists came up with unscientific and at times observation-free theories about the role of parenting in the genesis of schizophrenia and autism, it seems everyone is afraid to examine the role of family behavior in the genesis of any other psychological disorder. This is political correctness gone amok.

The protagonist of Thirteen, Tracy, starts out with very nice peers and fellow students before she begins to gravitate to the “corrupting” peer Evie. Even though Evie is attractive to the boys at school and thus her behavior might represent temptation for a teenage girl, her other more dangerous behavior would be a signal to less fragile teens to stay as far away as possible. To which peer group a teen is attracted is no accident of fate. Peer pressure is a red herring in the movie because these peers seek one another out.

David Tennant's portrayal of Kilgrave in Jessica Jones rings very BPD to me.  Squirrely, defensive, shrill, but not entirely devoid of charm, in this scene he casts himself as the victim in response to Jones confronting him about a rape.

There are many great scenes in the Netflix original series LOVE. The main character Mickey is BPD and her boyfriend Gus is a fixer. Episode 9 of season 2 is poignant as Gus hosts a house party at a mansion that he is house sitting. A husband of a recycled girlfriend of Mickey's comments to Gus that Mickey is psycho, has no friends, and burns through men and that she is probably having sex with some stranger right now in one of the 17 bedrooms of the mansion... .

Here's an example of a behavior I've heard described as splitting.  In this scene Count Valmont played by John Malkovich leaves his love interest shattered and baffled by mercurially shifting from adoration to contempt.

"It's beyond my control," is all he offers by way of explanation.

Similar to the 'thats just the way I am' explanation from by pwBPDex when she tried to justify the amount of abuse she put me through.

Mr. Nobody. Movies all over the place(and time literally) but one character in these two clips is BPD(confirmed from director). Second scene is funny.
