Title: Can a pwBPD react suddenly to a gradual change in a situation?
Post by: acciaccatura on December 14, 2017, 06:38:51 AM
I realised that most of my anxieties about my Mum's reactions are about the possibility of her reacting suddenly to a slowly changing situation, given that she doesn't really know where she ends and I begin. So as she has a history of equating my husband and her first husband too, one example of such a situation would be our marriage. My mum was widowed after about a year, but our marriage will be 4 in March. Could she suddenly reach a 'tipping point' over it?

Hi acciaccatura,

Sorry your post did not get replies sooner! I see that you have also been getting some good replies on other boards though! Those boards might be better to post on when you have a query although this post may be inspired by something you read here? I'm not sure. :)

So would you say you are experiencing a lot of anxiety? What is the sudden reaction that you mean by the title here and what is the gradual change? Do you think your marriage anniversary is a trigger for your mum in some way?

wishing you well, pearl.
