Thank you BPD Family for all your helpful and supportive efforts over the years.

We at TARA believe that BPD escalations and mood changes are the result of interactions with people closest to the person with BPD. People with BPD misinterpret facial expressions, body language and voice tones. They misinterpret the intentions of those closest to them, hearing them as criticism, judgement and blame. At TARA we teach families how to avoid triggering responses, how to bring them down once they occur and to repair relationships. We work with siblings, parents and partners. The most difficult relationship to come to terms with is the person, child, adolescent, or adult, who has a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder. How do you teach a child to have compassion for someone who should be having compassion for them?

We are so delighted that Maggie Davis will share her experiences with all of us at TARA. She is a wise, brave and compassionate woman who has much to teach us all. The talk will be available on video two weeks after the event.

Thank you for the support of my book "Overcoming BPD: A Family Guide for Healing and Change." We look forward to working with BPD Family in the future and again thank you for your support.
