Title: strange development
Post by: Zemmma on November 04, 2018, 07:08:04 PM
Was looking at my ex's sister's fb page and she has announced that she has BPD. My ex never mentioned any words or phrases attached to BPD and though I suspected he has it, I also did not mention it. If he knows anything about the disorder he never told me. I have talked to him about "emotional regulation," and at one time I thought he was suffering from anxiety because he was having panic attacks. Sister said in he post that she experiences "intense emotions."

Anyway, I researched it and genetics can play a huge role. I think they said siblings of someone with BPD have a 4 to 5 higher chance of having BPD, than the regular population.
But also due to coping styles, shared childhood experiences, whatever. So interesting to find out she has it and is practicing DBT.

Not sure if this validates me perhaps? He contacted me last week, and I wrote back kindly then he blocked me again. Suddenly. Again. I say kindly, but who knows, he can take the most innocuous messages as harmful. My guess is he texted me when he was drunk and when I wrote back, the next day when he woke up he regretted it and wished we had not engaged.

I am so lonely and miss him so much.

validate is not quite right... I meant, that maybe I was right about it...

he has always claimed to feel things more strongly than others... I always wondered if he has a BPD diagnosis but didn't tell me

I would feel validated if there were was BPD in my ex’s family’s FOO there are BPD traits it’s not the diagnosis that’s important it’s that he has BPD traits. Yes a pwBPD are hyper sensitive and feelings equals facts have you tried to use the validation tools?
