How to help other children in the family after borderline child moves out and won't speak to them

Hi SadMomfornow
Welcome to the group. I am glad you found us. You asked a great question. BPD really does affect the whole family. Of course your other nonBPD children are hurting particularly if their sibling is ignoring or rejecting them. I think maybe the best approach would be to help them understand that it is the disease talking and to try not to take it personally. Maybe others have more ideas. What else can you tell us about your situation? How old are your children? Why did the child with BPD move out? We are here to listen.
Hugs
Faith

What was the relationship like with their BPD sibling before?

Not speaking can be both an act of aggression and an attempt to regulate emotions.

How are the siblings dealing with the silence?
