Title: Where Do I Begin?
Post by: Lighthouse2019 on August 12, 2019, 10:40:34 PM
My daughter was just diagnosed. I've been through hell and back with her for 8 years and it wasn't until about a year ago that I realized that this was something more than teenage bad behavior. I'm exhausted but do feel some sense of relief that there is a name for this, something I can look into, and that she's not just plain evil. But where to begin? And how to start healing myself and learning coping skills? Any advice or comments or experience to share would be great.

Hello Lighthpuse2019
I join OnlyHuman in welcoming you to the group. I hope you will have a look around and see what we have to offer in the way of resources. I know what you mean about the sense of relief at finally having a diagnosis. Now that you know what you are dealing with it will be much easier to figure out how to help your daughter. OH has given you good information about where to start. It is a rough journey but you are not alone.
