Title: adult children
Post by: harglaze on August 23, 2019, 09:37:17 AM
My daughter is 35, married, two children, and lives in California. I live in another state. She has been diagnosed with a nimber of auto immune diseases and has not been out of bed in 3 months and rarely bathes or takes care of her hygiene. She has a history of BPD, depression, suicide attempts, and anerexia. She has put on 40 pounds due to lack of movement and the MANY drugs her doctors keep prescribing. When I try to help, the BPD kicks in and she hates me until i leave and then she wants me back. Her husband is clueless. he thinks sleeping all day is normal. I do not know how to help her.

Hi Harglaze
You are in the right place and we are glad you found us. Please take a look around here ,too, clicking on to  the How to use this website.  We have learned that helping our adult BPD kids starts with us taking care of ourselves.  We count too.  One method is you reaching out to us.  Please feel free to share  more as you are comfortable.  I take it your daughter does not accept her diagnoses of BPD and depression?  How are you coping ( or are you)?  We all are here on this journey with you.
