Title: BPD inspired poetry/aphorisms

Ok, I haven't written this originally in english so sorry for the rough translation but I wanted so share it anyways. I'd also like to see what you guys have written about the same theme. :)

Carbon dioxide
The hardest part has been trying to forget,
how easy it was for you to forget me.

I know we both had our reasons
behind our words,
behind our actions,
but I couldn’t understand yours
and neither you could mine.
There was a contradiction
like in the color of summer dresses
in the scenes of The Affair.

In the air we exhaled
the concentration of carbon dioxide
or something else
was too lethal,
poisoning the atmosphere  surrounding us.
Our bedsheets were the filters,
protecting us,
keeping our hearts beating.

And in those sheets I believed I could fill you completely,
but on the following day nothing was left of it
and we were both replaced by someone else.

The image of you I fell in love with
Turned out to be an image of myself
and you had no other option than to forget.
