I remember well packing up ahead of his arrival to get his things and to put the house in the market. I had rented a smaller, much shabbier house. Friends came and helped, but I was in the bathroom crying at least once a day. It was quite a process.

After that I had a "big sob" every time I went to the house to keep it nice while it was on the market. One time I walked through the house yelling at the top of my lungs, I was so mad.

But it sold, and we settled into the rental. Even though it is a bit rough, we actually like the location and layout better here. So it can work out.
