Title: Trying to understand
Post by: Hope456 on January 21, 2020, 11:12:15 PM
Hi,

This is my first post on this board.
I have been having issues with my spouse, and for a long time been feeling like I am walking on egg shells. I had no knowledge about bpd until very recently, and I am trying to understand if bpd might be affecting my spouse.
I have been depressed and there might be several causes, but I feel one of them is the way my spouse interacts with me (tends to disagree, debate everything I say).
Can anyone relate?
Thanks

:hi: Hope546 and welcome to the family! I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. Many of us have come to this site in desperation and found comfort here. Because we are all going through very similar experiences.
I don't know when you said walking on eggshells if you knew about the book "Stop Walking On Eggshells" by Paul Mason and Randi Kruger. It was an eyeopener for me and many others to get that perspective on our experience.

Here's a good place to start in getting closer to a sense of the problem. Most of us are dealing with loved ones who never get a formal diagnosis, but it helps to learn to identify the signs. https://www.bpdfamily.com/content/what-borderline-personality-disorder

Hope546, do tell us more about your experiences" You will find it helps you to get it off your chest and we can help better if we know more precisely what the problem is. In the meantime take care, we are here for you.
hugs,
khib
